About Us

Animus Surgical has been established for over 20 years, supplying veterinary sutures and veterinary suture materials to Veterinary Practices predominantly through wholesalers across the UK, Ireland and now expanding into Europe.

Animus is owned by Nick Butcher a retired Vet who ran a large successful group of Veterinary Practices based in Cheshire and the Thames Valley which he sold in 2007.

Nick leads a small team comprising of Operations Manager Suzanne Smith, former VN and Practice Manager who has worked with Nick for 30 years and Accounts Manager Wendy Bayliss who has been with Animus from almost the beginning.

Being a small team we are able to provide an exceptional personal service and strive to meet and exceed our customer needs.

Animus aims to provide the highest quality veterinary suture materials for a range of uses at very competitive rates. The core range is based on the most frequently used sizes and materials but Animus is now expanding selectively into equine, dental and ophthalmic products. We are always happy to discuss any specific individual requirement.
